This year's Edible Fashion Awards take on a slightly different flavour, with a new venue and focus on judges.
A decade on from its humble beginnings, the popular annual event will move from Hawke's Bay Opera House to a lofty space with plenty of street appeal, after news the theatre had to close for earthquake strengthening.
"We are going to the Show Grounds Exhibition Hall, which is really exciting - while the Opera House is opulent and amazing, it can be difficult to get a 3D view of the designs," event director and production manager Andrea Vernik-Taaffe said.
"This time we will have a 20m catwalk with a huge focus on the outfits which take hours to create."
A judging panel would also be revamped, with two returning from the previous year to provide clarity and consistently while a third fresh face offered a new outlook.
