For 10-year-old Meg Higgs, this week's Camp Quality is about having fun with friends, spending afternoons swimming and fulfilling her role as the ring master of the circus-themed summer event.
Meg joins about 68 other children, from 5 to 16 years of age, during the week-long Wellington and Central Districts Camp Quality at Lindisfarne College in Hastings.
Camp Quality NZ is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bring fun, hope and happiness to children living with cancer.
It provides week-long summer camps for youngsters, as well as year-round support for the children and their families.
Meg, a Port Ahuriri School student, was looking forward to today's trip to Splash Planet, adding that one of her favourite things to do was swim.
