Several stretches of Napier's central city streets will have the "closed" sign going up tomorrow as the Geon Art Deco Weekend starts to peak.
The top of the town, Herschell St from Emerson St to Hastings St, will close off from noon tomorrow through to 5.30pm Sunday. It is traditionally a gathering point for many of the vintage vehicles that arrive for the weekend.
Marine Parade from Albion Lane through to Browning St, and Tennyson St from Hastings St to the Marine Parade, will be closed from 5.30pm tomorrow through to 5.30pm Sunday.
In announcing the temporary closures, the Napier City Council said there would be no on-street parking within those areas, and any unauthorised vehicles would be towed away.
