Speed restrictions are in place until the end of the month at several sites on SH2 and SH50A and B between Napier and Dannevirke, where cabling work is being carried out.
The roadside installations have meant shoulder closures at some of the areas between Paki Paki to Te Hauke on SH2, as work is carried out.
Between Te Hauke and Otane, however, contractors have had to narrow the roadway to carry out the work and motorists are advised to adhere to the speed restriction signs.
At the cabling sites work on SH50A at Paki Paki, and on Maraekakaho Rd on SH50B, there are likely to be delays of up to five minutes.
Road maintenance is being carried out on SH50 between Maraekakaho and Takapau and delays can be expected.
