A teenage Wairarapa girl has appeared in court facing sex charges.
The 15-year-old, who cannot legally be identified, appeared before Judge Tony Walsh in Masterton Youth Court last Thursday on three charges including one representative charge of indecently assaulting a girl under 12-years-old over a 12-month period.
The teenager was represented by youth advocate Louise Elder on behalf of Jock Blathwayt.
It is alleged between December 11, 2012 and December 14, 2013 the accused indecently assaulted a girl in Wairarapa. She is also facing two counts that on or before December 15, 2013, she indecently assaulted a girl under 12.
Ms Elder said Mr Blathwayt was still awaiting disclosure and asked for an adjournment for that to happen.
