"Everyone needs a shelter" is the topic for a Hamilton Nightshelter manager as he heads a presentation next Thursday at the St Andrews Community Church.
Peter Humphreys, a former chef and fisherman turned social worker, will be speaking about the importance of sheltering the homeless.
Currently the manager of two homeless shelters, Mr Humphreys will discuss the on-going homeless problem in Hamilton and the basic right to a shelter for every member of society.
Mr Humphreys' drive for sheltering homeless people comes from an old English saying.
"There is a well-known saying than an Englishman home is his castle," Mr Humphreys said.
