For over a decade the Western Community Centre has been hosting Treats in the Park, and with a range of inflatable rides and eight different treat stations children are sure to be bouncing off the walls.
Children are encouraged to dress up for the event and registration costs $4 per child.
Western Community Centre manager Neil Tolan said there would also be entertainment for adults, including a concert, as well as on-stage entertainment and a skate competition.
"We have got some massive bouncy castles from Hawkes Bay and they're all themed, with stuff like rugby rampage," he said.
Mr Tolan said they could usually expect around 1600 children at the event.
