Police Beat: Woman uses stolen card

Hamilton Police investigating a burglary of a property on the city's western outskirts are appealing to the public to identify the woman pictured (right) using an Eftpos card stolen from the home.

Constable Anthony Baker of the Hamilton Law Enforcement Team said the Brymer Rd home was broken into on January 14.

"After the burglary a woman presented the card at the BP service station in Frankton, the Z service station and the Countdown supermarket, both on Liverpool St.

"The card has also been used unsuccessfully to obtain money from two ATM machines. We are very keen to hear from anyone who may know the identity of the offender."

Anyone with any information on the identity of the woman in the photograph or who may have carried out the burglary is asked to contact Mr Baker at the Hamilton Central Police Station on 07 858 6200.

Alternatively, information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
