It's been revealed Kim Kardashian's personal bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, filed for bankruptcy for his German security company just 10 weeks ago, with debts of more than $1.5 million.
The 43-year-old was protecting Kim's sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Jenner in a Paris nightclub when the star was robbed at gunpoint while she was alone in a nearby hotel.
According to the MailOnline, Duvier's firm ProtectSecurity, which has been contracted by a number of stars including Kim's husband Kanye West and the Black Eyed Peas, has fallen into financial ruin.
The insolvency lawyer working on the case told the publication that the debt is massive.
"There is so much debt. There are many claimants. I cannot say the exact number. Lots."
Kim, 35, is said to be badly shaken in the wake of the horrifying ordeal, during which she was allegedly taken from her bed at gunpoint, bound and gagged, and robbed of around $A14 million in jewellery by five masked men.
She had been left alone for the night while Duvier went to Parisian nightclub L'Arc with her two sisters.
He was apparently alerted to the situation by Kim's friend, and arrived at the hotel two minutes after the thieves had escaped.
Kim reportedly doesn't blame Duvier for the terrifying heist, and there's been no suggestion he is under suspicion.
Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Paris police have had a stroke of luck in their hunt for the culprits, with their faces caught in a "million-to-one" scenario on a single CCTV camera facing a mirror as they made their getaway.
Police have also seized cigarette butts from outside the carpark to check for DNA.
