Who would have thought that goofy little Dustin from Netflix series

Stranger Things

could sing?

Thirteen-year-old Gaten Matarazzo is a talented young man that's for sure.

Before his Dustin days he starred in Broadway musicals, playing Gavroche in Les Misérables and Benji in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

The

New York Post

found some footage earlier this week from 2015 of Matarazzo singing the American National Anthem at a New York Mets game, and it's pretty damn fantastic.

Note that this was before Stranger Things existed, so he was already a star before the Netflix series went viral.

However, Matarazzo's voice has since deepened (due to puberty) and during the final stages of filming

Stranger Things

he was unable to be used for additional dialogue.
