Kiwi director Taika Waititi and the cast of Thor have literally taken over Brisbane's streets, but fans aren't complaining.
The crew are in the middle of filming Thor: Ragnarok, so Brisbane's main streets were graced with the presence of stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).
Brisbane's Albert and Margaret Streets where turned into the Big Apple yesterday for filming purposes.
Thousands of fans lined the streets to get a glimpse of the production and caused a frenzy of excitement.
According to the local Gold Coast Bulletin Hiddleston said he wanted to "come out and say thanks" after the production "shut down their city centre".
"The fans have been really patient and well-behaved while we were filming and we appreciate this," he said.
Waititi celebrated his 41st birthday on Saturday and according to the Bulletin he joked with fans about working with Hemsworth and Hiddleston saying they "are very difficult to deal with... they are just like tall muscular children."
It's been five years since Hiddleston and Hemsworth first worked together on the original Thor film and to celebrate Hiddleston shared a #tb (throwback) photo of the pair.
"Now & Then. @chrishemsworth #thorragnarok #thor #loki" he captioned it.
Waititi, who is well known for his classic tongue-in-cheek sense of humour also posted a photo "spoiler" from behind the scenes.
Thor: Ragnarok is due for release in November 2017 and it also stars fellow Kiwi actor, Karl Urban.
