The pop star's security team found the man and called 911, and the New York police and fire departments responded, reports TMZ.

The man was "disoriented" and police described him as "emotionally disturbed".

He was cuffed and taken to hospital for evaluation but so far hasn't been arrested for any crime.

It's believed Swift was not home at the time.
