Hollywood actress Scarlett Johannson is in for some late nights as her latest film begins shooting scenes in Wellington's CBD.
The weekend shoots will take place over the next two weeks, beginning this Friday.
Wellington City Council has posted notice of the closures, which will see Victoria Street and Hunter Street closed in places.
Johansson arrived in New Zealand in January to begin filming Ghost in the Shell, bringing her baby daughter Rose with her.
The star has been living in Seatoun since arriving and keeping a low profile.
The film, which is being shot at Miramar's Stone Street Studios, is based on a Japanese manga series and is due for release in March 2017.
