Each family will keep whatever money they make over the reserve price for the home they renovated.

This season's show saw the Roughans, a sheep farming family from Gore, the Pearces from Tauranga and the Wottons, also from Tauranga, battle it out in weekly room challenges and room reveals.

The family that makes the most profit percentage gain on the original price will also rake in an additional $100,000 for their kids' first home deposit.
