Award-winning actor Keisha Castle-Hughes is selling her wedding dress.
The one-off pure silk and linen dress, finished with chantilly lace and fine beads, has a reserve price of $4,750 on the Reinvented Bride website.
Castle-Hughes' husband, DJ Jonathan Morrison, 25, said the sale would help with their new life in Los Angeles. They also wanted another couple to enjoy the dress.
"We are in LA now so it would just be sitting there in New Zealand," Morrison said this week.
"Keisha was tempted to keep it, we both were, but we are starting a new life here and the money will come in handy to help us do that.
"Whoever wears it has big shoes to fill. Liz Mitchell designed a beautiful dress."
Castle-Hughes, 23, first stepped out in a Liz Mitchell gown as an Oscar nominee for the 2004 Academy Awards.
She has been loyal to the designer ever since, wearing her dresses to high-profile events.
The couple married on Valentines Day after a whirlwind courtship of a few months.
Rebecca-Ellen Beavis, of the Reinvented Bride store, said a new dress of similar style would cost about $8,000. "It is an absolutely beautiful gown and a one-off. It's like a piece of art."
