Kiwi hip-hop star PNC has followed in the footsteps of Radiohead and David Dallas to give his new album away for free.

The new album from PNC, real name Sam Hansen, is now available here for free download.

Under the Influence is the Palmerston North MC's fourth album and was produced by Matt Miller.

It features the singles Take It All and As I Fly, and guest stars Jeremy Redmore, David Dallas, Pieter T and Awa.

The free download offer follows a similar ploy by Kiwi rapper David Dallas for his 2011 record The Rose Tint. He later released the album properly in pop-up stores around the country.

Radiohead was the first major band to release an album for free, with a pay-what-you-want attitude for their 2009 record In Rainbows.

Download the album here.
