With a bill made up of the latest inductees into the music hall of fame, this year's silver scroll winners, and two sonic freaks, it sure sounds like a killer summer tour.
Shihad, who also won the Herald Legacy Award at the Tuis, headline a three-date jaunt with young bloods of the local rock scene The Naked and Famous and unhinged two-piece Cairo Knife Fight, which starts in Riwaka (near Motueka) on Dec 29, before heading to Brewers Field, Mt Maunganui, on Jan 2, and Waihi Beach Hotel on Jan 3.
All have new releases out this year - Shihad with eighth album Ignite, The Naked and Famous with debut Passive Me, Aggressive You, and Cairo's Nick Gaffaney and Aaron Tokona releasing their excellent self-titled EP - so expect to be rocked.
