David Cassidy
, the former teen heartthrob and pop singer, has been busted in Florida on a DUI charge.

, was arrested for DUI in Fort Pierce, Florida at 6 pm on Wednesday (local time) after a highway patrolman spotted the star weaving on and off the road, and nearly hitting another car.
According to a police report, a trooper spotted Cassidy's white Mercedes driving erratically and weaving all over the road on the Florida Turnpike.
Cassidy admitted that he had drunk a glass of wine around lunchtime and had taken a hydrocodone painkiller several hours before the incident.
But when the trooper approached the car, he "could smell a slight odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage come from the defendant's mouth," according to the report.
Officers said Cassidy also had a half-full bottle of Bourbon in the back seat of his car.
According to the police report,
, Cassidy was "swaying while standing" and failed a field sobriety test.
When breathalysed his blood alcohol content allegedly measured at 0.139 and 0.141 - much higher than the state's .08 legal limit.
He was arrested and taken to a cop shop before being released in the early hours of this morning on $350 bail.
Cassidy says now he plans to fight the charges, insisting he was not drunk.
Hi rep, Jo-Ann Geffen, says Cassidy admits he took a pain pill for his back and may have been tired from the funeral he had attended that morning, but he was not sozzled.
He also insists the breathalyser test wasn't accurately measured.
Says the rep, "He would never jeopardise anyone on the road and he would not have been driving had he not had to go to a funeral ... he's never been arrested in his life before for anything."
Well he's done it in style now.
