KEY POINTS:
New Zealand actress Keisha Castle-Hughes has given birth to a baby girl.
Felicity-Amore was born on April 25 weighing 7lbs 6oz, Castle-Hughes' agent told the Herald.
Castle-Hughes, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in Whalerider, announced in October last year she was pregnant to childhood sweetheart Bradley Hull.
The news caused controversy, with her grandmother telling media she believed Castle-Hughes - then 16 - was very young to have a child.
In an interview on TV1's Sunday programme screened on April 22 Castle-Hughes said she had been made to feel guilty about her pregnancy.
But she said she felt ready for motherhood.
"If it wasn't meant to happen now, it wouldn't have happened now."
