A man charged with a double stabbing at a South Auckland birthday party has pleaded guilty to murder.
Robert Timothy Rapana was due to go on trial in the High Court at Auckland this morning for the murder of Chevy Midas Davis, 24, and wounding his cousin Rio Davis with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
However, he entered a plea of guilty to both charges in court this morning.
Both men were at a 21st birthday party for one of their relatives in Otara last December.
When emergency services arrived shortly after 1am, they found Mr Davis dead on the driveway at the front of the property.
