It's fitting that something such as cancer, named after the crab, should potentially receive treatment from a crab-like robotic device that was, in turn, inspired by a chilli crab meal.

The device is designed for the treatment of the early stages of gastrointestinal cancer. Unlike surgical treatments that would cause scarring, the device can travel down the throat of the patient.
