Iconic jewellery brand Tiffany & Co will be available in New Zealand just in time for Christmas - and Christmas shopping.
The internationally renowned jewleller has announced the opening date for its first flagship store on the first week of November. The store will be located in Auckland's Britomart which the brand said was the city's premier luxury shopping destination.
The store will occupy the full ground floor of Australis House, Customs Street. President and managing director of Tiffany & Co. Oceania Glen Schlehuber said the company was excited to share its designs with the New Zealand market.
"The opening of our first store in New Zealand will be a momentous occasion and one we have been looking forward to for a long time," Schlehuber said.
When the store was initially announced last year, Schlehuber said some items would sell for a few hundred dollars but "the sky is the limit" for others.
"The new store will house a large selection of iconic Tiffany collections, such as diamond engagement rings for which Tiffany is renowned around the world, as well as fine, gold and sterling silver jewellery," Schlehuber said.
"In addition, it will feature the acclaimed creations of exclusive Tiffany designers Elsa Peretti, Paloma Picasso and Jean Schlumberger, as well as signature collections such as Tiffany T and Tiffany Atlas, watches, gifts and leather accessories."
A major refurbishment has been underway for the 430 square metre building.
