The RSA is thrilled 2 Cheap Cars has decided to hit the brakes on its Anzac Day ad campaign.

The ad on Facebook caused offence for telling people to come down because their great granddad would be proud.

RSA CEO David Moger said the company has apologised, and the decision to pull the ad shows it didn't mean any offence.

David Moger says most companies don't want to cause offence, but a little extra thought is needed around Anzac Day.
