Ryan Fox and Danny Lee are inseparable at the moment and are now underway at the Australian PGA Championship that began this morning.
The two have recently finished tied eleventh at the World Cup of Golf, but this week it will be all about individual success as they continue to follow the same schedule.
Rotorua's Lee, who is currently number 58 in the world, has fond memories from across the Tasman having made a phenomenal debut onto the world stage when he won the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic as an amateur.
"I am excited to play my first Australian PGA Championship. I have heard lots of great things about the tournament and am happy to be able to experience it myself for the first time," he said.
"2016 has been an incredible year playing at the Olympics and I am looking forward to finishing my season on the Gold Coast."
Fox, who has recently earnt his full European Tour card, is excited to open his account on one of the world's biggest tours and it will certainly help this event is part of the tour.
The 29-year-old has been in fine form after a tied fourth finish at the Emirates Australian Open and the solid team performance at the World Cup Golf.
"It's pretty great that the Australian PGA Championship will be my first European Tour event since gaining my card," said Fox, who had seven top-10 finishes including a win at the Northern Ireland Open on the secondary Tour this year.
"I know the Royal Pines layout well, I always enjoy playing in Australia, it is where I started my career, so I am hoping it turns out to be a successful week for me."
The 'bro-mance' certainly continues as the two spend yet another week together this year, all starting from golfs return to the Olympic Games in Rio.
"Plus having Danny there is going to make sure it's a fun week. We are good mates and he has a good sense of humour. I think he is going to love the Gold Coast, the Aussie crowds and the festival feel of the Australian PGA Championship," Fox said.
Michael Hendry will be looking to challenge New Zealand's top two ranked golfers as he plays in his second Australian event in three weeks. He will be joined by fellow Kiwis in Tauranga pairing of Josh Geary and Mark Brown, plus Ben Campbell and Harry Bateman who have had consistent golf under their belt and will be expecting a good week.
Fox and Lee have been given the red-eye tee slots of 6.00am and 6.30 today.
