A teen killed in a crash near Maungatapu Bridge, the announcement of a big economic boost for the Bay of Plenty and drivers clocking "reckless" speeds on Tauranga Eastern Link were among the biggest stories of the week.
One person died and three were injured in a crash on State Highway 29A on Thursday night. The deceased was named today.
Ministers Steven Joyce and Te Ururoa Flavell visited Bay of Plenty this week to talk about economic plans for the region, including a $3 million harbour development boost.
Police said drivers were clocked at speeds of up to 176km/h on Tauranga Eastern Link this week.
