An injured Tauranga baby is today in a stable condition at Auckland's Starship Children's Hospital after she was involved in a crash yesterday.
The one-year-old baby girl had been travelling south with a man and woman along Fraser St when the car crashed into a tree near 13th Ave at 11.30am.
A Starship Hospital spokesman confirmed the baby had been transferred to Auckland yesterday and was today in a stable condition.
Western Bay of Plenty head of road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the occupants were taken to Tauranga Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Mr Campion said the crash was one of several over the weekend and a total of 13 since 4pm Friday and this morning.
