Fire investigators are at the scene of a house fire in Waihi this morning.

A house on the corner of State Highway 2 and Waihi Beach Rd caught fire about 4am.

Three trucks from Waihi Fire Brigade were sent to the fire, which is now extinguished.

Fire northern communications spokesman Scott Osmond said it appeared there was "nothing untoward" about the fire, but fire investigators were currently at the scene to find out what caused the blaze.

All occupants in the house got out safely, he said.
