Road works affect traffic across Bay

Roads will close across the Bay of Plenty this week as repairs continue.

From tomorrow to next Friday, July 4, motorists can expect the following traffic disruptions:

State Highway 2 at Tuapo Bridge, from Walker Rd to Thompsons Track Rd.
- Guardrail repairs
- Shoulder Closure
- Speed restrictions in place
- Delays possible
- Anticipated Completion: Mid July

State Highway 2 at the Kaituna Bridge, Te Puke.
- Bridge repair work
- 30k/hr speed restriction through the site
- Delays possible
- Anticipated Completion: End of June

State Highway 2 at the Pukehina Beach Intersection
- Seal widening
- Speed restrictions in place
- Delays possible
- Anticipated completion: end of June

State Highway 29 at the Ruahihi Rd intersection
- Seal widening
- Speed Restrictions in place
- Delays possible
- Anticipated completion: Mid July

State Highway 29 from Tauriko to Gargan Rd
- Shoulder widening
- Speed Restrictions in place
- Delays possible
- Anticipated completion: Mid July

State Highway 36 at the Northern Taumata Rd intersection, Pyes Pa
- Intersection improvements
- Speed restrictions in place
- Delays possible
- Anticipated completion: end of July

State Highway 36 at the Te Matai Rd intersection, Pyes Pa
- Slow Vehicle Bay construction
- Speed restrictions in place
- Delays possible
- Anticipated completion: Mid July

Waitao Rd
- Underslip repairs
- Road closure in place from 351 Waitao Rd while plant is operating between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday
- Speed restriction in place after hours.
- Anticipated completion: Mid July.

Ohauiti Rd
- Underslip repairs from 6km up to 13km up.
- Three areas affected - down to single lane light traffic only
- Closed to Heavy Vehicles at 12km mark, up from Welcome Bay
- Anticipated completion: Mid July - weather dependant

Kaylene Place, Omokoroa
- Construction of Footpath
- Shoulder closure
- Anticipated Completion: Mid July

Te Puna Road, from James Rd to Maramatanga Park
- Construction of Footpath
- Shoulder closure
- Delays possible
- Anticipated Completion: Mid July
