Little Red Riding Hood and the Bananas in Pyjamas were seen wandering the corridors of Tauranga Hospital.
Twelve Tauranga Girls' College students switched their school uniforms for colourful costumes as they donated toys and games to children at the hospital yesterday.
The girls, who are a part of the community services committee at their school, all brought in toys and games they no longer used at home.
Community services committee prefect Zoe Hall said it was important to be able to give back to her community.
"It feels good to give and make people smile," she said.
Ms Hall said all the gifts donated were from the girls' homes with $30 donated from the school for chocolate, balloons and stickers. "It's all for a good cause," she said.
It was the second year the Tauranga Girls' College committee had made rounds in the hospital. Gifts donated included children's books, toys, games and knick-knacks.
