A Government study aimed at establishing economic opportunities in the Bay of Plenty has been launched in Tauranga this afternoon.
The Bay of Plenty Regional Growth Study is expected to help evaluate opportunities for increasing investment, employment and incomes in the region.
Bay of Connections Governance Group chair Doug Leeder said the study would help regional and central governments to work closer together.
Mr Leeder is also the Chair of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
He said the study would bring another lens to the region to reinforce and validate existing work, strategies and action plans.
