The 2014 year promises to be another extremely busy one for the Wanganui Greyhound Club, which kick-starts 2014 with a high-grade meeting at the Hatrick Raceway this evening.

As usual, the TAB Quaddie commences on Race 9 (8.35pm) where Uno Allegro has drawn to lead the 305m sprint field throughout.

A danger could be Stiff Drink if he can overcome a poor draw.

Also consider Swapan, despite the rise in class he faces.

The early pace he owns can see him delivering a competitive sprint here.

The open class 520m chasers contest the second leg, where the Izmir kennelmates bookend the field (Nos1 and 8).

Superior Izmir, from the ace trap, can lead this field all the way.

Indiana Izmir, although not drawing the best out in the eight trap, is in sublime current form and can't be ignored.

Forget the last couple of misses that Riggs has delivered as he certainly cannot be risked for any option here.

He was luckless in those assignments, with both being Group race events.

The open class sprinters round off the Quaddie, where in the third leg Monday's strong winner Fiery Dancer has drawn to swoop around her rivals.

Leadfoot Lenny encountered traffic problems when he contested the Dash For Cash final at his last start.

He is capable of pinging away smartly and and has the strength to lead his rivals from go to whoa.

Homebush Sarge has prospects at longer odds courtesy of a nice draw.

Don't be surprised if he is sighted sprinting strongly along the rail in the dash up the home straight.

The final leg sees Armed Forces returning after his last-start Cambridge 375m failure.

Treat him with respect back here.

The vastly experienced sprinter Rosemore Osti has been delivering competitive efforts since returning into the open class ranks and a similar effort can be expected tonight, despite drawing poorly.

That was a strong win that Nitro Luis produced on Saturday and he holds distinct repeat winning claims in this dash.
