Sunday will provide some answers for the undefeated Wanganui Athletic women's football team as they reach the business end of the 2013 season.
Athletic have got through to the top four of the Manawatu Women's League and their first game will be against fellow undefeated side North End in PalmerstonNorth.
Both teams were supposed to meet in Wanganui back in June, but the game was postponed and ultimately jettisoned after stormy weather affected games elsewhere.
The two top teams have not played each other and from Sunday onwards past results no longer count and every game is crucial.
"The [competition] points go back to zero, it's a home and away series, that gets to determine who goes to a higher league or not," said Athletic coach Dave Downes.
The other two teams to make the top four are Palmerston North Marist and Massey.
Athletic are coming into the game after a break when their match against the Takaro Maidens last Sunday was called off.
In the other major competition, Athletic's semifinal in the Federation Cup will also be a home game when they play Marist on August 11. North End and Taranaki's Moturoa will meet in the other semifinal.
