"The first year we won it, it was held here and it's back here again [next year]," said Scrivener.
"We're going to stick to the same team, same positions."
He said the team dedicated the win to Bourne's mother, who has been in ill-health.
In the semifinals, Freeman's team won 10-7 over another Wanganui four in skip Brian McCarthy, Scott Hills, Lynne Zimmerman and Kristine Alabaster.
Starting last Saturday, there were 44 teams playing six games and needing four wins to progress to the Sunday post-section.
Twelve teams managed to do that, then after four more games each, when three wins were needed, the semifinalists were found.
