The Wanganui representative tennis season will conclude with a big weekend in the capital as a squad of eight compete in the Hexagonal at the Renouf Tennis Centre today.
Wanganui will be mixed in with three Wellington squads, plus Taranaki and Manawatu - the latter retaining the Christie Cup forthe winter after they took it off Wanganui and then defended it against Taranaki earlier this month.
The team's will play singles, doubles and mixed doubles today and tomorrow.
"The girls are pretty strong and the boys are on the case," said team manager and men's reserve Sean Edmonds.
"Leela [Beattie] will be the strongest lady down there.
