The Aramoho Wanganui senior rowing crews completed a strong week at the Bankstream NZ Rowing Champs with two more silver medals and three bronze from the final day of action on Lake Karapiro on Saturday.
The crews picked up a medal from all but one of the six finals theyhad qualified for on the day.
Getting the ball rolling early at 8am, the women's club four crew of Jackie Gowler, Georgia Nugent-O'Leary, Kayla Spencer, Sammy Murphy and cox Savanna Gaskell claimed silver, with their 7m 18.91s time around three seconds behind the winning North Shore Composite 2 team, with Avon Rowing in third.
The AWRC men's four won bronze, as Martyn O'Leary, Gus Pawson, Tyler Scott, Jack van Bussel and cox Logan Campbell finished in 6m 32.75 seconds, coming five seconds behind the winning Wakatipu Rowing Club 1 team.
The second silver came from singles gold medallist Luke Watts and team mate Hugh Pawson in the men's senior pairs final, finishing just less than two seconds behind the Gisborne RC 1 with Otago RC third.
Watts and Pawson were then joined by Tom Monaghan and Gus Pawson to get the bronze in the men's senior four, although their race was dominated by the North Shore RC 1 crew as the Wanganui team's 6m 42.19s time was 15 seconds back from the winners. AWRC's Under 19 four of Nugent-O'Leary, Gowler, Spencer, Murphy and Gaskell won bronze with a 7m 37.97s time in a very close finish with second place Waikato RC 1 and winners North Shore RC 2.
