Skaters from seven clubs had international prestige on their mind with they took to the Jubilee Stadium hardwood floor over the weekend for the Graeme Sheppard Challenge.
Starting with warmups on Friday afternoon, through to the end of competition yesterday, skaters were looking to impress the NZ Artistic Committee, whichwill send their recommendations off to Skate NZ for the pick of the bunch to represent their country at world championships, being held in Taiwan in November.
The junior grades were for Under-19's, while the seniors were aged 20 and over.
Representing Wanganui, Sharon Rose-Riddell won the Juvenile Figure and Juvenile Junior Dance, although both categories had only two opponents and one opponent respectively.
