It has been a long time between drinks for Wanganui's indoor bowlers as they head for the nationals in Rotorua this weekend.

The seven-person team consists of the Bournes Lindsay, Craig and Warrick the Scrivener brothers Craig and Gavin, as well as Ann Kendrick and Brendon Kenny.

Joining them at different times are Shane Broderson, competing under the Nelson banner, and the Scriveners' aunt Lyn Brittain from Northland.

Kenny said each grade singles, doubles, triples and fours will have five rounds, during which there will be one bye, followed by the post section knockout phases.

"If you're good on the day, you'll be playing 8-9 games to the final."

All seven Wanganui representatives will be in the singles section starting tomorrow, with the post-section on Monday.
