The Manawatu-Wanganui team's hopes of a semifinal appearance in the women's Toro Interprovincial took a nose dive with a narrow loss to North Harbour in their rescheduled game on Thursday afternoon.
Wet weather prevented the Day 3 matchup being played in the morning, starting instead in the later afternoon at
New Plymouth's Westown Golf Club.
While Whanganui golfer Tara Raj kept her winning streak alive with a 3-2 win over North Harbour No1 player Ela Grimwood, narrow losses by her team mates in the other games saw the northerners get the win.
Manawatu-Wanganui were to play their regular Thursday afternoon match against Bay of Plenty yesterday morning, followed by home team Taranaki in the afternoon.
