Tomorrow will be the last chance for a number of the promising players in the Anndion Lodge Wanganui women's cricket team to impress the powers-that-be when they take on Manawatu at Victoria Park.

Resurrected this season after a 14-year absence, the team will have their final match of three in the Mike Shrimpton Trophy competition, which Shrimpton himself will be watching as the coach of the Central Districts Hinds team.

Also paying close attention will be Katrina Keenan, the White Ferns coach.

Wanganui coach Dilan Raj says player Jessica Watkin will already be in Central Districts plans, however tomorrow gives the likes of Michelle Mitchell and Briar Cloake a chance to push their claims.

For those looking at under-21 representative level, Georgia Flower, Lucy Stewart and Pippa Norman will want big games.

Taranaki will face Hawke's Bay at the same time at Victoria Park.

Wanganui has suffered large defeats to Hawke's Bay and Taranaki after being unable to post meaningful totals when batting.

Tomorrow will also see the Watsons Wanganui U-12 and U-13 teams playing their Taranaki opposites from 10.30am.
