Second ace in same hole for Skou

Christine Skou has always had a special fondness for the third hole at the Marton Golf Club.

The 66-year-old made the second ace of her playing career on Wednesday during Marton Ladies day on the Par 3 hole, about a 100m shot from the women's tee.

It was her second hole-in-one and the first in quite some time.

"It's about 25 years - same hole," Skou said.

Just like 1989, Skou and her playing partners felt good about her swing and watched it the whole way.

"[The girls] made quite a lot of noise.

"I had a lovely shot, it wasn't a rough one, it just popped up on the green and went in.

"I didn't quite believe it, I said 'I bet it's just sitting there', but it went in the hole."

Sko took up golf in 1981 and had always been a strong supporter of her club, taking turns in the various roles like being a starter.

"I enjoy it so that's the main reason," she said.

Marton has a plaque in their clubhouse with the names of all the hole-in-one shot makers, so Skou's will be added to that again.
