It is back to the normal Friday evening racing for the Wanganui Greyhound club at Hatrick following the recent three week 'occupation' by the Wellington club.

There was some great racing during that time which was capped off by a good winning effort in the Opawa Racing Wellington Cup final.

The $21,000 Group 1 race was stylishly taken out by New Zealand's greyhound of the moment the Dave and Jean Fahey trained Pretty Good.

His win provided the dominant Fahey kennels with back-to-back Wellington Cup training successes after having trained Know Peace to victory last year.

A recently introduced betting type by the TAB is the Place 6 option.

It has been rapidly gathering momentum, especially within the greyhound code. The option operates over the last six races on any race card.

Potential collects can be enhanced by including multiple combinations that finish in a placed position, therefore collecting the declared dividend multiplied by the number of successful combinations included on your ticket.

Here's a look at a possible combination for tonight's meeting, which commences on race seven, 7.16pm.

The luckless Thrilling Quest can create her own racing luck owing to the small field she meets here.

She's an anchor to kick start the Place 6.

Another anchor looms in the second leg where the unlucky Fahey-trained Wellington Cup finalist Jinjarango has drawn nicely.

Onto the third leg, where last Friday's feature sprint winner Guru Goose is the obvious inclusion.

Also include the locally trained Howlin Wind who can place again after having drawn his third ace-trap in a row.

A huge Wellington Cup plunge with the TAB Bookies went astray on Ate To Much.

He can provide his backers with some compensation in the fourth leg.

Also include his support race winning kennelmate Cool Izmir from last Friday's meeting.

Leg five presents more of a challenge where last Friday's 305m winner Motherlee has drawn kindly, Cool Charmer is a noted lid pinger, Ate Pizza has been luckless lately and Run Lacy Run has drawn ideally out in the eight-trap. Include all four of them here.

It all wraps up with the re-appearance of the track sprinting specialist Complicit. Overlook his last start miss, when he attempted the 520m trip in a Wellington Cup heat.

Also include his kennelmate Stiff, who will relish drawing the one-trap here.

Coupling up of those combinations provides 32 possible winning combinations. You can part with half of the outlay by taking a half unit, in other words for a total cost of $16, or you can just take any percentage of the above. Good luck.
