The US Kids Golf tournaments are a series of premier junior tournaments held worldwide culminating in the World Championships in Pinehurst in July which both girls have qualified for through the Wellington tour.
In Sydney the Raj sisters won both their rounds against their respective Australian opponents.
"It was disappointing not being able to retain the Trans-Tasman trophy," Tara said.
"But it was a fantastic experience playing in an international tournament."
She said it was an enjoyable tournament on what was a difficult course.
"The fairways were so narrow and there was water and bunkers everywhere. We learned a lot and made some really good friends."
She and Sera had been well supported by the Wanganui Golf Club.
"The support from the club for both of us is amazing not only for this tournament but throughout the year," Tara said.
This weekend both girls are competing in their respective divisions at the Wanganui Club Champion finals.
