The Wanganui club tonight host their final Friday evening meeting for the racing season while the local club will host the nation's last greyhound meeting for the season next Wednesday afternoon.

This evening's popular TAB Quaddie has some rather interesting fields framed for it.

As usual it kicks off on race 9 at 8.10pm and here's a look at some of the leading contenders for it.

Tiz Now is a former open class sprinter who has been drawn in a field that he should be able to account for.

Others to consider include the locally trained Matilda's Babe, who can beat the poor draw she has been allocated.

Another local sprinter, Jill Sprite, has drawn kindly in the one-trap for this sprint, while the claims that Crystal Wave owns here cannot be lightly dismissed.

Leg two sees last Friday's strong penalty-free winner El Jetta drawn to deliver a repeat dose.

A similar time to his 30.10 second effort last Friday should be sufficient to see him featuring at the business end again.

Space Race is a noted railing chaser, therefore her claims from the one trap can't be lightly disregarded here. The kennelmates Just Mac and Red Crystal can both feature if they receive clear early racing passages.

A super field of open class sprinters will contest the third leg.

Darlyne Ottey has been sublime in the way she delivered her wins here last Friday and then in Palmerston North on Monday.

She can make it a hat trick tonight, although she does prefer drawing closer to the rail than the six-trap from where she will exit from here.

Wild Punting endured a luckless sprint here last week and he is more than capable of being able to exact his revenge.

Guru Goose is a proven sprinter on this track and his claims cannot be lightly dismissed tonight.

And keep Stiff very safe if he hops into an inside trap from off the reserves bench.

The final leg sees the regular Friday evening sprinter Rosemore Osti seeking her 31st sprint win on this track.

She has drawn close enough to the rail to achieve that.

Others to consider in this dash includes last Friday's winner, Leadford Lenny.

And drawing the ace trap here has brought Enazuma right into contention.
