Last week the North Island, tomorrow the country for the Aramoho Wanganui Rowers.

The club members are off to the New Zealand Club Championships in Twizel tomorrow, buoyed by their success at the North Island Club Championships on Lake Karapiro last weekend.

The club's crews collectively brought home three golds, four silvers and two bronze.

With heats, repecharges, semifinals and finals, most of the young club members had three or more races per day over the three days of competition.

Women's Club Coxed Four: First place - Jackie Gowler (Ngatawa), Kaela Janiten, Sara-Jane Back (Wanganui High School), Ella Cvitanovich (cox) Reuben Gedye (WHS).

Women's Novice Double Sculls: First place - Georgia Nugent-O'Leary (Ngatawa), Sammy Murphy (WHS).

Men's Club Coxed Four, B Final: First place - Gus Pawson, Tom Monaghan, Hugh Pawson (WHS), Jack van Bussel (WHS), (cox) Reuben Gedye.

Men's Novice Double Sculls, B Final: First place - Zac Visser, Harry Lillington.

Women's U19 Coxed Four: First place - Jackie Gowler, Kaela Janiten, Sara-Jane Back, Ella Cvitanovich (cox Reuben Gedye). Fifth place - Kayla Spencer (WHS), Annabelle Schurhammer (WHS), Amie Back (WHS), Heather Gee-Taylor (Ngatawa), (cox) Savanna Gaskell (Ngatawa).

Women's Senior Coxless Four: Second place - Sara-Jane Back, Kaela Janiten, Jackie Gowler, Ella Cvitanovich. Third place - Rayelynn Brackett, Sammy Murphy (WHS), Georgia Nugent-O'leary, Nicole Miller (WHS).
