A rapidly growing interest in competitive and social cycling has prompted Wanganui-based Cycle Sport to introduce a handy tips evening.
Cycle Sport managing director Ron Cheatley said an increasing number of people had been calling into the Wilson St shop full of questions about various aspects of the sport.
"Wehave a lot of people call in wanting to know all sorts of things, so we have decided host a 'Cycling Night Out' next Tuesday offering handy tips an all facets of the sport from getting fit, to training regimes, bike set-up and maintenance, even how to fix punctures," Cheatley said.
"The evening would be aimed at entry-level cyclists to those planning to maybe compete regularly or in one-off events. It would also be helpful for those who just want to get up off the couch and do something. There is a growing interest in cycling."
The Cycling Night Out event will be held at Cycle Sport at 49-51 Wilson St between 7pm and 9.30pm.
