Wellington's George Jackson wrapped up his 69th River City Wheel Race programme with victory in the Open 10km scratch at the end of the event on Saturday evening.

Having already won the prestigious Wheel Race, Jackson won the scratch from fellow Wellington rider Dan Waluszewski, with Whanganui's Brendon Sharratt in third.

The Men's Invitation Keirin was claimed by Southland's Lee Evans, ahead of Manawatu's Angus Claasen and New Plymouth's Jakob Lester.

In the Women's Invitation Keirin, Manawatu's Libby Arbuckle beat out team mates Megan Gardner and Samara Fenn.

The best result for the locals on the night was Kyle Hoskin winning the Under 17 Elimination race, while Sharratt also placed second in the Open Points race, behind Jackson, at the start of the programme.
