The Marangai Archery Club has had a prosperous month after it hosted the regional Silver Knight trophy event at its range at the Country Club last weekend.
Club founder Rob McMillan top scored overall and took out the Silver Knight trophy.
McMillan, Gustav Bam and Sue Laugesen then teamed upand took the Ruscoe Shield for the team's event against three other squads.
It was a good followup from the World Masters Games in Auckland in April, which five club members attended.
Bam had great success in the Men's 40-49 division, winning two gold medals in the field events, gold in the target and bronze in the match play.
McMillan entered the Compound Men's 50-59 year division and got a bronze medal in matchplay.
In the women's grades, Laugesen finished in the Top 5 of both the recurve and the match play for her division, being beaten to the medals by international archers.
Hanlie Bam was fourth in her divison but shot very well considering her wrist was in plaster from an injury.
