Marton Golf Club's Lachie McDonald finished with a share of 24th after the final round of the Autex Muriwai Open on Sunday.
McDonald had climbed up to a share of fifth with an excellent round of 68 on Friday, but fell off the pace with two final rounds of 76
to finish on 293.
He finished twenty shots behind the leader in Wellington's Gareth Paddison, who was five shots clear on top of the table to win a consecutive Charles Tour event.
Ex-pat Whanganui professional Nick Gillespie did not compete in the fourth round.
Meanwhile, the Rangatira Golf Club's Cancer Society Charity Tournament is coming up at the end of the month.
