The Wanganui-Marton combined croquet clubs' team held off the South Taranaki Association to retain the Gibbs Cup at the Wanganui Croquet Club on Saturday.
The prestigious Association Croquet team trophy has been competed for biennially between South Taranaki and Wanganui-Marton, since November 1964.
Both sides had six wins, but Wanganui-Marton
finished with 203 points and South Taranaki with 180.
