Last Friday's $25,000 The Rock 95.2FM NZ Futurity was declared a No Race after a greyhound fell when racing into the first turn, and then when regaining his paws turned back into the face of the oncoming field.

Lure driver Ray Udy had no option but to pull the lure up by the 520m start traps to prevent potential serious injury.

The re-running of the Group 1 event will be held on Friday, June 2.

The open class 520m greyhounds provide the main chasing action at Hatrick this evening when they contest The Rock 95.2FM Race 10 event.

Holding the key to the race is the Lisa Cole-prepared Timma Turtle.

He owns sharp early pace and he can lead his rivals all the way by using that asset.

Kennelmate Bigtime Jason is also a renowned on the pace chaser and he also can make his presence felt here.

He must break quickly from his poor trap five draw.

The race is dominated by Cole-prepared greyhounds as Bigtime Power (Trap 1) and Spare Some Time (Trap 8) bookend the field.

There are two 305m sprints for the open class sprinters.

Allegro Gun will be all the rage in the Laser Plumbing Wanganui C4/5 (Race 4) for Cole.

He slipped through his 305m assignment last Friday in the meet best 17.29s, 305m time.
Kennelmate Bear Inda Square secures the draw advantage via the ace trap here.

The stakes earning claims held by the locally Freddy Kite-prepared Sedgebrook Babe can never be dismissed.

She will be seeking to maintain her ultra consistent Friday evening sequence of being required to attend the post race podium.

Of the others, Lover from the Angela Turnwald kennels adds interest from the five trap as he resumes racing following a spell.

His kennelmate Spelling Misteak is also fresh up in the other open class 305m dash.

He has drawn nicely in trap two for the Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C4/5 (Race 5).

Likely to provide the most opposition are the Cole trained pair of Thunderation and Allegro Lass, while Monday's Manawatu 457m winner Cawbourne Nath can feature in this dash for Matt Roberts.
